Thank you for your interest in joining the Hume Society.
Membership grants you access to restricted parts of this site, showing special offers for members, society information, forms for taking part in committee elections, etc. It also comes with a subscription to the journal Hume Studies, and access to the full online archive.
Note that you do not need to be a member to submit a paper for the Hume Conference, but membership is a prerequisite for taking part in the conference itself.
Membership cost varies according to salary, and there is a discount for 5-year membership. The cost of membership is outlined in the following table:

Membership is free for students and anyone earning less than USD$50k/year. To request a free membership, please select the applicable option in the form below. Otherwise you can pay your dues using the form below. Please note that all currencies are in USD$.
The Hume Society does not collect or store any credit or debit card information. Dues payments are collected online through PayPal, a safe and secure method of payment accepting most major credit and debit cards. It is not necessary to have an account with PayPal in order to pay. If you do not have a PayPal account, simply select ‘Pay by Debit or Credit Card’ at the PayPal login screen.
Members in the United States: Please consider sending your membership dues via Zelle (vicepresident@humesociety.org). Doing so would save us between USD$2-5 in processing fees per transaction. The Vice President/Secretary-Treasurer will personally contact you to confirm receipt of your membership dues and to provide your new membership expiration date.
The Hume Society is a registered 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization with the United States’ Internal Revenue Service. Donations to the Hume Society may be tax-deductible.
